- Hi,
-
- I'm wondering (besides the agreed upon spiffy new display) what the
- differences between the new SupraSonic and the old SupraFAXmodem are. Is the
- new modem Rockwell chipset based? Does it therefore have only the FlashROM on
- the controlling code and not the DSP like the regular FAXmodem? The new modem
- is called V.34+, but it's my understanding from checking out Supra's web page
- that it doesn't support speeds above 28.8. Since the FAXmodem's already a
- pretty spiffy modem, in my opinion, I'm wondering what improvements they've
- made to the new SupraSonic. If it's just the display it's not worth 60 bucks
- more IMO!
-
- Thanks,
- JPF
